Happy New Year! I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season with their families. Even though the holidays are over, last night kicked off the 2020 awards season, beginning with the Golden Globes. While I enjoy watching the shows, what I love most (as I am sure most of you know) is the Fashion. I was looking forward to seeing what the celebs brought to the red carpet, unfortunately, I was really disappointed. I felt like both the designers and celebrities (and their stylists) really dropped the ball at the Golden Globes. While there was lots of colour, there were awful materials, massive sleeves (which is a huge trend- but one I didn’t like last night), plunging necklines and in my opinion a lot of faux pas.
While for the most part there were disappointments, I found a few pretty looks too.
Thanks for reading my run down!
Stay Fancy, Tara
Here are my Fashion Favourites of the evening:
Renee Zellweger in Giorgio Armani
I loved this look on the Golden Globe winner for Best Actress in 'Judy'. She stunned in this gorgeous blue gown. She was my favourite of the night.
Kerry Washington in Altuzarra
Olivia Pope can do no wrong in the fashion game, she had an edgy look in this all black ensemble and I am here for it.
Reese Witherspoon in Roland Mouret
The Big Little Lies (fab show) star looked chic and beautiful in this white gown.
Glenn Close in Armani Prive
You go Glenn Coco- 72 and looking gorgeous!
Jennifer Aniston in Dior Haute Couture
Always a classic in classic black, she's a beauty.
My Fashion Faux Pas Picks:
J-Lo in Valentino
It pains me to put J-Lo is the faux pas category because I love her and she is gorgeous. Her makeup and hair were just stunning, her dress was not.
Oliva Coleman in Emilia Wickstead
She might be the Queen in the 'Crown', she was definitely not the queen on the red carpet.
Cate Blanchett in Mary Katrantzou
Don't have much to stay about this, but why? The yellow is pretty...
Gwenyth Paltrow in Fendi
Why would she pick this?! She is so pretty, but this is just all kinds of wrong.
